by TastingFreedom ini just heard the sad news that a very loving and kind elder for the congregation that i belonged to for 15 years just died from a heart attack.
he was someone that i had great admiration and deep respect for, even now that i'm out from the jws.
he was my mentor and an inspiration to me as an elder, and in many ways he showed me the contradictions of the wts, he was a breath of fresh air within a cult.

I have always suspected this picture to be photoshopped. Why would da Judge allow a photo to be taken of him getting drunk? I just have a hard time buying it. looks a bit fishy. Is there any confirmation on the source? I've always wondered.

i believe there may be some marginal history although not much.
i think alot of folk tales and regional myths are contained in the old testament.

by foodalls ini just got off listening to the the tape about the teh bethlelite brothers and the case a member of the anointed has filed against a congregation about an illegal disfellowshiping...and both of these "brothers" have set this organization for a very hard fall!
but!...thats not what i see from what o got from these tapes....but it will be a big contributing factor (i actually feel sorry for those poor "ignorant" elders who will be left to "flap-in-the-wind" over this!!!
)..but its what ii know is comig about all religion that know for a fact!!!

Why do you believe the bible? or not?
by AiAi inwhen i began questioning the religion i used the bible and their own statements to prove them wrong.
now, recently, i have began to realise that maybe the only reason i put any faith in the bible is because i was always raised to.. so my question is, after leaving the watchtower, what was it that made you decide the bible was worthy of belief?.
i am not asking about any continuing belief in god or disbelief, i am more conscerned about the first step (to me) right now of the bible itself.

Remember now kids, not baptized = NOT A WITNESS. You can say he was around it all his life but that doesn't make him one. Its all about baptizm. We know that. You can't be DF'd or DA'd unless you are a witness. Unbaptized publishers are people who have expressed and "interest" in being a witness and not a witness. This is the party line, we all know it, some just want to change the rules to pin this on a "member". Remember, these sort of people are considered a "person of good will". Kind of ironic, eh?
